You use water 70% indoor and than 30% outdoor. Now here is a break down of where you use the majority of your houses water.

When you shower you use 17% of your water but it also depends on the size of your family. 27% of the water usage is from your toilet. 16% is from your faucet 14%  is from your leaks in your home and you can call a Michigan plumber to help you out with that.


22% of the water usage in your home is from laundry and 4% is other. The average person waste  10 gallons per day because of leaky pipes in your home. 100 gallons of water is wasted because of leaky faucets per day.  200 gallons of water is wasted per day because of leaking toilets per day.

Fixing leaks in 5% of US homes will save 177 billion gallons. Replacing all faucets with efficient models will save 60 billions gallons and replacing all toilets with efficient toilet models will save 640 billion gallons of water.
